Bye Bye Ljubljiana

The summer school finished friday and now I am waiting for my flight (I am writing this post live from the Ljubliana Airport). My general judgement about ESSLLI is very good. I have followed great courses, met interesting people and, maybe the most important thing, I increased my motivations. A great experience.

Second Week

Iniziata la seconda settimana all'ESSLLI. La prima è stata interessante ma un po' dispersiva. La seconda, invece, sembra più focalizzata su tematiche di rappresentazione della conoscenza e ontologie. Quindi, come si dice in questi casi, calza a pennello.

Nel frattempo ho avuto la possibilità di allargare decisamente il giro di conoscenze grazie al party di venerdì e alla escursione organizzata per sabato. Questo aspetto è molto positivo perché c'è la possibilità di scambiarsi informazioni con persone dai background diversi ma complementari.

The First Day

The first day at ESSLLI was really productive. I followed 4 lectures (introduction to formal semantics, fuzzy logics, logic in action and modularity within the ontology). The last one was that one more focused on my research interests. I also met other italian researchers from coming from Universities and from the CNR and had some good suggestions for my Ph.D. work. A good start.

At the end of the day there was the Welcome Cerimony.
