The First Day

The first day at ESSLLI was really productive. I followed 4 lectures (introduction to formal semantics, fuzzy logics, logic in action and modularity within the ontology). The last one was that one more focused on my research interests. I also met other italian researchers from coming from Universities and from the CNR and had some good suggestions for my Ph.D. work. A good start.

At the end of the day there was the Welcome Cerimony.

KEOD Conference Valencia

Arrivato a Velencia per il KEOD Conference 2010: appuntamento importante nell'ambito della comunità scientifica che si occupa di ontologie e knowledge engineering. Il tempo è primaverile (20-24 gradi) e la città sembra abbastanza accogliente.

Domani avrò il mio talk. Non sono paricolarmente teso. Spero di ricevere suggerimenti preziosi. Stasera (prima notte e Valencia) ho mangiato paella velanciana (non poteva mancare) e ho visitato (per una ombinazioen fortuita) la Cattedrale di Santa Maria (era in pieno svolgimento una funzione religiosa): molto bella.
